Parc marin du Saguenay-Saint-Laurent

At the heart of a unique and majestic marine protected area, enjoy activities such as: snorkeling in cold water, scuba diving, sea kayaking, zodiac, walking on the shore, where you may also see whale...

Its Mandate

Established in 1998, the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park is mandated to increase, for the benefit of the present and future generations, the level of protection of the ecosystems of a representative portion of the Saguenay River and the St. Lawrence estuary for conservation purposes, while encouraging its use for educational, recreational and scientific purposes.

His Discovery Network

The Saguenay-Saint-Laurent is composed exclusively of water. Beyond a boat trip or kayak, you can also find out through its "Network discovery". This is a collection of interpretive sites located near the marine park and having a multitude of themes being associated with him.

A conservation measure for all users

If you were surprised by the appearance of a marine mammal during a boat trip, the Regulations in the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park, establishes rules of conduct, speed limits and distance required. It also takes into account the precarious status of some species. This framework limits the disruption to the environment.

Nunavik Parks

Nunavik is Québec’s far north, rugged and awe-inspiring.

For millennium, the remote geography of this immense territory has served to protect the region’s natural features and landscapes, as well as its wildlife. The exceptionally pure waters of Pingualuk Lake and its circular crater, the towering heights of the Torngat Mountains and the rich plant and animal life of Richmond Gulf are but a few examples.

Today, Parks Nunavik is dedicated to protecting these exceptional features and representative landscapes from encroaching human activity that includes non-renewable resource exploitation. The protection offered by Parks Nunavik focuses on conservation through enhanced educational and recreational opportunities for Nunavimmiut and travellers from around the globe.
